Katia Nemirovich-Danchenko comes from a renowned Russian family of theater and musical luminaries. Her great-grandfather, Vl. Nemirovich-Danchenko, co-founded the Moscow Art Theatre alongside Konstantin Stanislavsky.

Born in Moscow, Katia commenced her musical journey under her grandmother's tutelage, later advancing her studies at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory. She entered the Central Music School for Gifted Children at age 7, captivating audiences with performances across Russia.

About Katia

After her education at the Moscow Conservatory, Katia then expanded her musical pursuits in Paris and Germany, collaborating with many esteemed artists. As a soloist and chamber artist, Katia has graced prestigious concert halls globally, partnering with renowned musicians, and she has earned accolades in international competitions.

Katia's discography ranges from works by Respighi to Mozart and from Schubert to Tchaikovsky. Her recent recording features piano transcriptions of Mendelssohn's symphonies and overtures.

Katia has a rich experience as a teacher, having taught many years in Germany and France including at the Conservatoire de Toulouse and since 2019 at the Geneva Conservatoire.

Katia has been teaching on LMFL courses for more than ten years.
