About Hazel

Hazel Ross, a UK violinist, graduated with Distinction from the Royal Northern College of Music. With a diverse freelance career, Hazel has performed globally, including in Europe, Canada, South Africa, Australia, and America, giving concerto performances and recital series with various ensembles, including her piano duo partner, piano trio, and String Quartet. Hazel is the creative force behind the international show 'Tango Tzigane' and founded the renowned duo 'Elektra,' 12 years ago.

A sought-after musician, Hazel collaborates with professional orchestras in the UK and Ireland and is also a versatile session musician, having recorded and toured with artists ranging from Michael Buble to Shirley Bassey and Bryn Terfel. Hazel has also worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company, leading the quartet for Coriolanus in 2018.

Committed to music education, Hazel has taught violin and chamber music at Sevenoaks School and previously at The Royal Northern College of Music. As an ABRSM examiner, Hazel has represented the organization in China and Malaysia and has been selected as the UK representative for the Global Leaders Program.

She has a history of running the junior department for the international music course 'LMFL' and regularly conducts string masterclasses and workshops across the UK.
