Our new premises for 2008 Between North Wales and South Yorkshire |

Moreton Hall was built
during the reign of Henry VIII -CIRCA 1527-and had been refronted in the time
of William and Mary, hence the Dutch
architectural influence. It became
a boarding school in 1919 when purchased by the Lloyd-Williams family, a
formidable large family with 11 children. Ellen was passionate about
education and especially for girls. From
the beginning the ethos of the school was to give a very extensive education
in which music played a great part. So it is very fitting that we chose this
place to move to. It has larger premises, which offer accommodation for our
musical needs; 4 grand pianos, 13 uprights, plus a large number of keyboards,
plus additional pianos rented by us. The
Hall provides all sorts of benefits: A round
the year nursery where young (or not so young) parents can entrust their very
young children (from 1 to 4 years old) from one to several hours, when
needed. An
heated, open air, very large swimming pool with lifeguard Several
tennis courts (hard or grass) - Some can even be used at night with
floodlights Cricket
fields, football pitch and…. a 9 hole golf course. Each
boarding house (there are 4) has different levels of comfort - from single
rooms to shared bedrooms for 4, to dormitories; there is everything
to satisfy everyone’s tastes and needs. Parents who would like to share our
life during the full course are absolutely welcome. We will not accommodate parents coming for the end of course
concerts as we have in the past, as they will easily find accommodation in
two hotels near by at reasonable rates |
