Since
graduating from the Royal College of Music, Sarah Poole has carved a busy and
impressive career combining her love of the classical repertoire with exuberant
performances of Gershwin, Berlin and Porter.
Her
wide-ranging repertoire encompasses music from the 17th century to the present
day and she has performed many of the standard works including Exsultate
Jubilate, Requiem (Mozart), Nelson Mass (Haydn), Messiah, Samson (Handel),
Requiem (Andrew Lloyd Webber), Stabat Mater (Pergolesi), Requiem (John Rutter),
Cantata No.51, Peasant Cantata (Bach), Requiem (Faure), Trial by Jury
(G&S), Thomas and Sally (Arne), Dido and Aeneas, The Indian Queen,
Dioclesian (Purcell) and Mass in C (Beethoven).
Sarah
has performed as soloist with leading orchestras from the RPO Concert Orchestra,
Vienna Collection, English Sinfonia,
National Symphony Orchestra, Leading Lights Orchestra and London Gala
Orchestra, and appeared at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the world premiere
of 'Song of Loving and Leaving' for Soprano and Orchestra, which were written
for and dedicated to her.
Recent
concerts include Wexford Opera Festival, Chatsworth House, Audley End House,
Marble Hill, Kenwood Bowl, Wrest Park, Queen Elizabeth Hall, St.John's Smith
Square, Purcell Room, Bristol Cathedral, St.Andrew's Festival, Wells Cathedral
School, Trinity College of Music, Gordonstoun Concert Society, Southampton
University, Cambridge Festival and concert tours in Spain, Denmark and Germany.
Forthcoming
concerts include return visits to Bristol Cathedral, Colchester Castle,
Shuttleworth Collection, Wells Cathedral School, Ipswich Festival, Standish
Festival and London's South Bank.
