Misah Grandel Trumpet

Misha Grandel  began his trumpet studies in Moscow, Russia, where he was born.

After graduating from the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, his family emigrated to Israel, where Misha continued his studies at The Rubin Academy in Jerusalem.

In 1991 Misha joined the Israeli Defense Orchestra and played in it for three years.

Shortly after that he was accepted at the Amsterdam Conservatoire to study with the principal trumpet of The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and after gaining his masters degree in performance he returned to Israel to become the Principal Trumpet of the Israeli Symphonietta Orchestra.

Since moving to Boston in 1999, Misha has performed regularly with various chamber as well as orchestral groups and as a soloist

His appearances include performances with The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, The Israeli Philharmonic, The Jerusalem Symphony and others.

Misha performs and teaches trumpet in Massachusetts.

He is a United Musical Instruments associate and clinician.

Misha is also a recipient of the American-Israeli Foundation Award.

He plays principal trumpet in the Atlantic Symphony Orchestra.
