Of Italian
origin, Jean-Luc BORSARELLO, was born in 1951 in Toulon (Var).
Right from an early childhood, in spite of
his musical studies, he painted and already admired the painters of his region.
He was attracted
by southern light. He followed his parents to Paris and devoted his life to
music, therefore becoming a professional violinist. He stopped painting for a
few years.
The summer visits to his native district
brought better enjoyment of expressing himself through painting.
He took a closer interest in Provence Fauve
schools of painting. He noticed the richness of their scale of colours and the
strength of their interpretation. He admired Monticelli, Seyssaud, Ambroguani,
Bonamici..., and followed their line.
The heritage of that past which today raises
a new real interest can be found in his works.
D’ 'origine italienne, Jean -Luc BORSARELLO est né en 1951 à Toulon,
dans le Var.
Dès son plus jeune âge, malgré ses études musicales, il peint et admire
déjà les peintres de sa région. La
lumière méridionale l'attire.
Il suit ses parents dans la région parisienne et
consacre sa vie à la musique, devenant ainsi violoniste professionnel.
Il cesse de peindre quelques années ; Les séjours
estivaux dans sa région natale ravivent la joie de s'exprimer par la peinture.
Il s'intéresse de plus près aux mouvements fauves
provençaux. Il remarque la richesse de leur palette et la
force de leur touche.
Il admire Monticelli, Seyssaud, Ambrogiani, Bonamici...et
s'inscrit dans cette perspective.
On retrouve dans ses toiles
l'héritage de ce passé qui connaît actuellement un engouement très sensible
