Elah Grandel   Bassoon

Elah Grandel, bassoon, is an active performer of both chamber and orchestral Elah Grandel, Bassoonmusic, locally and internationally. She grew up in Israel, and began studying music seriously at the Rubin Academy High School in Jerusalem.

From 1997 to 1999, Elah served as principal bassoonist of the Israeli Sinfonietta Orchestra.

Since moving to Boston in 1999, Elah has appeared with the Serenata Chamber Players, the Boston Octet, and the Radius Ensemble, as well as  Emanuel Music, the Boston Ballet, Boston Lyric Opera and orchestras in Hingham, New Bedford, and Rhode Island.

 She holds degrees from the Rubin Academy, the Amsterdam Conservatory and Boston University.

Her teachers include Richard Paley, Jos De Lang and Matthew Ruggiero (formerly of the Boston Symphony Orchestra)
