Vocal Workshop

Cecilia trained at both The Guildhall School of Music & Drama, London (specialising in Jazz) and Leeds University. Her areas of expertise are in Jazz, Pop, Song Writing and Performance.

Alongside her professional commitments as a singer, Cecilia is currently a vocal coach and music lecturer at Bath Spa University, including regularly contributing to the International Songwriting Festival at the University. Before leaving London 4 years ago, Cecilia taught at the world-renowned Italia Conti Academy of  Performing Arts.

Her international performance career as a vocal soloist has included The Barbican Hall (London), The Bimhaus (Amsterdam), The Folkest Festival (Italy & Slovenia), Café Concerto (Vienna), The Glastonbury Festival (U.K) and the 606 Jazz Club (London).

Cecilia strives to enable her students to find and develop their own unique voices as she deems this to be a singer’s most valuable asset. Hence, her teaching practice aims to develop singers as great ‘interpreters’ of song (and writers where possible), opposed to ‘impersonators’.

Her philosophy as teacher of the human voice is first and foremost to establish a life-long commitment to ‘healthy singing’ and the attainment of excellent vocal health in order to liberate, strengthen and protect the singing voice.

Cecilia is also a published songwriter and accomplished studio singer.
