Alessio Bacci Flute and Piccolo

Flautist, wind ensemble and chamber music, Alessio is Professor at Conservatorio Puccini in La Spezia.

He has been invited as guest Professor in Sidney and Saõ Paulo Conservaotoire and gave masterclasses on flute reperotorie at Dortmund, Tirana and Istanbul University.

Alessio graduated at conservatorie Boccherini in Lucca and received a Diploma ad honorem from Accademia Chigiana in Siena where he studied with S. Gazzelloni e A. Meunier.

Since 1979, as a member of the “Bruno Maderna” contemporary music group he peformed  in festival in Italy and Europe, performing many world première.

He has recorded for the Austrian Radio and monographic CDs of italian composers Luporini and Bonamici.

He is conductor of several chamber groups, besides the Everytime saxophone ensemble which he founded in 2000 and for which he published transcriptions from any kind of repertoire and style.

He has a large experience as flutist and piccolo player in orchestra repertoire, specially in Italian opera.

In research field he is director of the musicology magazine Tetraktys and is in charge of the critical apparatus of “Tesori musicali toscani” project, rediscovery of XVIII century tuscan composers.
